Things you should take into consideration before welcoming a new puppy
We know how difficult it can be to finding the right puppy but please don't become frustrated or impatient when searching for one. Take your time and do your research about the breed! Best advice would be to talk to breeders and introduce yourself, this is something that we value highly and want to see that you have done your research prior to inquiring as this shows us your passion about these little guys. Buying a puppy is somewhat akin to adopting a child and it can be an emotional roller coaster ride especially if you fall into the wrong hands. It is important that you find a reputable dedicated and knowledgeable breeder. Where do you find them? We are happy to help so please do not hesitate to contact us for information about the breed generally and for help and recommendations about where to find a puppy.
Some things to consider when researching your new puppy in relation to health testing:
* Have both parents have their hips and spines xrayed and graded (and passed, with certificates?)
* Are the pups HC clear by parentage or DNA? (HC Is hereditary cataract).....
* Has the breeder taken the option of completing a preliminary spine X-ray at 8 weeks to ensure no glaring abnormalities? (please note that this is not done under a General Anaesthetic and takes 5-10 seconds)
* Are pedigree papers included free (there should be no additional charge)
* Have both parents been assessed via a clear DNA profile?
Health testing is not something enforceable by any of the registries - however, the French Bulldog clubs are encouraging breeders to consider complete health testing as a recommendation, skeletal to complement DNA to have a whole picture. It is up to the individual to what extent they check their dogs prior to breeding.
We know this is alot to take in but it is worth your time so you end up with a lifetime of happiness instead of a lifetime of problems.
Our puppies are sold as pets only and will be sold only on LIMITED register with Dogs QLD/ANKC pedigree papers. We do all current health testing in conjunction with the clubs code of ethics for FBCQLD & FBCNSW, which includes the following:

~ 8 week X-ray for spines and hips for any glaring abnormalities
~ General health examination before leaving for furever homes
They will be desexed prior to leaving our home, micro-chipped and vaccinated.

There are alot of unscrupulous breeders out in the world who are just producing a product for there pockets $$$. Responsible ANKC breeders won't advertise litter's on social media or places like gumtree or the trading post, this is generally frowned upon and you should be going through those governing bodies as mentioned before or through the Frenchie state clubs.
